Chapter 1: Under the stars The sun set slowly behind Australia's rolling hills as the first stars began to twinkle in the sky. A light breeze swept across the coast, and the smell of salty sea air mixed with the sweet scent of blooming desert plants. Emma stood on the balcony of her beach villa and let her gaze wander across the ocean. The waves rushed gently against the beaches, and the moon cast silver rays on the water. There should be a special event tonight. She had invited Jake, her old friend from university. After not seeing each other for years, the anticipation of him coming was overwhelming. His eyes sparkled in the light of the moon. “I've reserved the best seats on the beach,” he said, pointing towards the coast with a wave of his hand. “It's going to be magical. They sat down on a small blanket that Jake pulled out of his pocket. The light of the stars enveloped them like a soft veil. “Do you remember how we used to talk about our dreams? “Emma asked as she looked deep into his eyes. “Yes, and I also remember the promise that we would explore the world someday,” Jake answered and moved a bit closer. The moment seemed to crackle. The space between them was electric, and Emma felt her mind grow wilder and wilder. Jake suddenly leaned over to steal a kiss from Emma and she returned it passionately. The kiss was like a spark that started a fire. Her lips moved in unison as the waves played with a soft rustle behind them.
