Chapter 1 The sun was high in the sky and a gentle wind blew through the streets of the small town. Sarah had just sat on the terrace with a book that warm afternoon when the well-known sound of the delivery van between the houses rang out. The mailman was a strapping guy named David, whose demeanor sharpened her senses every time. She had already watched him deliver parcels several times, and his impressive figure in uniform made her curious. When the van stopped at their front door, it was as if time stood still for a moment. David got out, pulled a package out of the car and knocked on the door. Sarah felt her heart beat faster. Suddenly the idea of having him so close was overwhelming. Beautiful, bold, and with a charming smile. “Hi Sarah! A package for you,” he shouted. At that moment, it was just the two of them, the air was electrically charged. She stepped up to the door feeling nervous and excited at the same time. “Thank you David,” she whispered as her fingertips gently touched his hand. The brief touch made her shiver in the most exciting way. There was an embarrassed moment when their eyes met. Sarah wanted to be more than just polite, she wanted to explore the tension between them. “Come on in, I've prepared a coffee,” she suggested and dared not look away. David hesitated for a moment, then nodded in agreement, an interested look in his eyes. The atmosphere inside was relaxed, the scent of freshly brewed coffee filled the room. Sarah sat down opposite him, and the discussions about the latest packages and the challenges of the day evaporated quickly. Instead of chatting about everyday things, she felt the conversation become more intimate. Their eyes crossed again and again; the pressure of attraction was hard to ignore. David stood up to refill his cup. At that moment, she worked up the courage and followed him. She stepped right behind him, their bodies just inches apart. “I don't often have men with me,” she confessed softly and felt the heat building up between them. He turned around, and with a deep look at her eyes, he closed the distance. The tension was palpable, and as he placed his hand gently on her cheek, she knew they were on the cusp of something big. The moment seemed endless, and the desire filled the air as she bowed her head and closed the gap between them. David leaned closer, his lips just a few millimeters away from hers, as the world around them seemed to slowly disappear. Her heart's beating seemed to echo in the silence. She couldn't help but wonder what was going to happen next, her breath stopped and the heat in her chest seemed to intensify further. But at that moment, when her lips almost touched, a sudden sound came from outside, and her thrill was abruptly interrupted.
