Courier service in the rain

The rain pattered against the windows of the small, dim courier service station. Anna stood behind the reception desk, her mind wandered over and over again to the mysterious man who entered her office a few days ago. The smell of his perfume had stuck in her mind, as did his seductive smile. They remembered his order: a delivery to a luxurious hotel in town that spread an air of mystery on those rainy evenings. As the last courier set off, Anna's mind was interrupted by a knock on the door. It was Eric, the charming courier driver, who often dreamt of her. He came in, water dripping off his hair. “Hey Anna, do you have a minute?” he asked while stripping off his coat and the water splashed on their floors. She looked back and felt their hearts beating faster. “What's up?” she asked while trying to hide her excitement. He moved closer, his warm smile making the heart jump into Anne's chest. “I wanted to show you something — I think you'll love it.” His voice was deep and alluring, and Anna felt an inexplicable attraction build up between them. But just as their eyes met and the room was filled with electrifying tension, a flash rang out that broke through the darkness of the room. Anna knew that this moment could change her life forever. The rain outside increased the sense of intimacy and mystery, and the premonitions became unbearable. She took a step closer. Seriousness was mixed with curiosity and the opportunity that was presented to them. The sound of rain became a calming background sound, but her thoughts were all with Eric. “What are you showing me?” brought her out, not sure if she really wanted to hear the answer. His mischievous smile made her stomach tingle as he raised his hands to wrap them around her hips. Anna felt the heat of his body as he came closer, the air between them crackling with expectation. But the decisive moment was still missing, the bridge that would push them across the divide of uncertainty.
