Movement in the saddle
Chapter 1: Movement in the saddle
Twilight fell over the city as Ella went to the small café in the old town. The warm colors of the evening sun painted last rays on the paved roads and made the air smell of freshly brewed coffee. She discovered him in a corner: Lukas, an old friend who had never completely disappeared from her life.
His eyes sparkled as their eyes met. They had never talked about their attraction to each other, but the crackling feeling between them was obvious. Ella sat down at the table and immediately felt the trustful atmosphere of the café that accompanied her.
“I missed you,” Lukas said as he gently placed his hand on the table, as if trying to reduce the distance between them. Ella felt a warm tingling in her stomach.
“Me too,” she answered, her voice barely more than a whisper.
They talked about the past, laughed at old memories, and in the meantime, the sunset pushed its shadows across the room. It was as if time had stood still and the space around her began to narrow until only her eyes and the unsaid words remained.
Luke leaned closer to her, and the indescribable desire blossomed between them. Ella could smell the sweet scent of his aftershave and felt more and more drawn to him. Her hearts beat in the same beat as he whispered with a slight smile: “Would you like to go for a ride? ”
She involuntarily froze as the words echoed within her. The idea of getting in the saddle and feeling the fresh air was mixed with the desire to spend more time with Lukas. Her mind was racing and her curiosity was piqued — images of freedom and passion overwhelmed her.
“Yes, that sounds exciting,” she finally replied, without worrying about the consequences. She felt the excitement pulsing in her veins.
A few minutes later, they stood with their horses in an extensive field on the outskirts of town. The evening sky turned red and purple as they swung on their saddles. Ella felt the gentle cradling of the horse under her, the animal's strength pulsing through her legs. She looked at Lukas, whose eyes sparkled with anticipation. The wind was touching her hair and she felt alive as she wanted to grab the reins and get involved with what was next.
Lukas rode next to her and they galloped across the meadows, the freedom of the moment filled them. The movement in the saddle became more intimate, every step defoliated the crackling between them. Ella did not dare to look at Lukas, but she felt his presence like a magnet whose attraction she could not escape.
As they stopped at a remote pond, the water whispered smoothly into the emerging evening. Ella jumped off, her legs weak as she stepped on the soft ground. Lukas did the same and stood right in front of her. The moment was frozen and they could forget in that endless second that the world existed around them.
Lukas moved closer, his body hugged hers, and when their eyes met, the usual distance collapsed. The tingling of the area defoliated in the air and their bodies seemed to pulsate with unspoken desire. Ella held her breath while Lukas placed his hand on her waist and came closer as if to devour her.
With a courage she did not know, she reached for its warmth as twilight sent its last ray. The start of an unexpected discovery was in the air as they waited for the next step, embracing the still unknown...
And then it happened...
