Eye contact during training

It was a warm afternoon in spring when Lena entered the gym. The sun shone through the large windows and bathed the room in a golden light. She had been looking forward to training not only to get fitter, but also to see him again — Max. The young man with the muscle-shaping tattoos and the charming smile that made even the hardest workouts a piece of cake. As she took up her seat at the weight bench, she noticed that Max was already working out across the room. Their eyes crossed for a fleeting moment, but in that brief moment, the whole room was swept empty. The ambient noises disappeared and all that mattered was the intense gaze that wandered back and forth between them. Lena felt her heart beating faster. She knew that with each repetition she tried harder than was necessary so as not to lose sight of him. Suddenly, the tension between them became palpable as Max, seemingly unintentionally, removed his dumbbell and moved closer to her. “Does anyone need help?” he asked as her eyes met again and made the air around her crackle. The urge to just grab and pull him closer was overwhelming. Lena's knees became soft as he bent over to pick up the dumbbells from her feet. When her hands touched for a brief moment, she was struck by an electric shock that completely upset her. Her smile was challenging, and she felt Max felt the same way, even though he couldn't put it into words. The closeness between them became unbearable, and the hangover they had both ignored for so long exploded in an instant. Their desire for more spread as they unconsciously moved closer than a magnet. Lena's heart was racing as she could feel the other person's warm breath. “Come with me,” Max whispered solemnly, and without thinking, she followed. The road to a secluded space in the studio seemed endless. Thoughts were racing through her mind as she felt the unprecedented chemistry between them. When they closed the door behind them, the silence was eerie and sparkling at the same time. Their bodies pulled together magically without either of them finding the courage to go a step further as they moved timidly towards each other...
