Breath next to breath while running

It was a warm summer morning when Emma and Leon jogged along the picturesque park. The sun shone softly through the green leaves of the trees, and the birds chirping accompanied their steps. They had worked out together many times, but there seemed to be something in the air today; a tingling tension that went beyond ordinary friendship. Each time their shoulders touched each other, the familiar feeling of being next to each other changed into something more intense. Leon's breath was warm on her throat as he encouraged her to run faster. Emma felt her heartbeat get faster, not only because of the run but also because of being close to him. The smell of fresh grass and the cool breeze that gently swept across her skin only seemed to make the moment more intense. She gave him a telling look, and for a brief moment, time seemed to stand still as their eyes met. They ran faster and faster, as if they wanted to escape the unspoken desire that was flaring up between them. But the more they ran, the more the urge to pause seemed to grow. Suddenly, a small forest path came into view; a hidden clearing surrounded by tall trees. Leon suddenly stopped and Emma followed him, her breaths barely audible with excited expectation. Here, surrounded by nature, everything seemed possible. They stood only a few centimeters apart, the air pressure between their bodies was almost squeezing, charging for the moment; the tension crackled. Emma felt her cheeks redden as she couldn't take her eyes off him. His hand reached out and gently found its way to her waist, a conscious, almost tender contact. Their hearts beat in unison and seemed to set the rhythm of a new, exciting chapter. And then, the next moment, completely involuntarily, she tiptoed and came close to him. Her lips were only a breath apart. A spark had ignited the air around them, and they both knew that this moment was irreversible...
